‘NEIGHBOURS'
SOAP STAR DROPS IN FOR TEA AND SHORTBREAD
Star
of the Australian TV soap ‘Neighbours' Stefan Dennis dropped into
Scottish shortbread makers Dean's of Huntly for a visit with his
wife Gail and children Cameron age 5, Declan on Monday 10 th December.
Stefan,
currently starring as Abanazar in Aladdin at His Majesty's Theatre
in Aberdeen, has spent a lot of his acting career playing the bad
guy. However, he showed a sweeter side to his character when he
let it be known on national TV that he loved Scotland's all butter
shortbread biscuits.
Having
recently opened the first visitor centre dedicated to Scotland's
national biscuit, Dean's were delighted when Stefan and his family
made a private visit to Huntly to see for themselves how his favourite
biscuit was made.
MD
Bill Dean said, “It is not everyday we welcome a celebrity to show
around our bakery here in Huntly. There definitely was no shortage
of volunteers, offering to give Stefan and his family the guided
tour.”
As well as enjoying a private
tour and learning about the history behind Dean's Shortbread, Stefan
took time out to sign autographs for staff before he and his family
enjoyed refreshments and shopping in the new Visitor Centre
