Tesco Finest Shortbread Assortment wins Best Bakery Product - Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards May 2007
Tesco Finest Shortbread Assortment - produced by Dean's for Tesco, picked up a top industry award - Best Bakery and Cereal Based Product in the Retail Category - at the annual Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards, held at the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery i n Glasgow on the 10th May 2007.
The Luxury Shortbread Rounds Assortment were developed as part of the Finest Christmas range for 2006, it included a traditional Luxury All Butter Shortbread, along with a Belgian Chocolate and Orange and Spiced Sultana varieties to add a seasonal twist to the selection. Dean's are the sole supplier of Tesco Finest Shortbread and jointly continue to develop innovative and exciting products for their range.
The Dean's Management Team and Senior Buyer for Tesco were delighted to pick up this prestigious award on the evening.
The Scottish Food and Drinks Excellence Awards are now in their sixth year and organised jointly by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society and Scottish Enterprise, are regarded as the “Oscars” of the food industry.
