In the heart of castle country and on the edge of the whisky trail we at Dean's invite you to enjoy a taste of Scotland and see for yourself how Shortbread, Scotland's national biscuit is produced.
Visit the Viewing Gallery and learn about the history of Shortbread. Watch staff at work in the purpose-built bakery and see how Dean's 'melt in the mouth' Shortbread is made - just as you would do at home. The wall to wall storyboards tell you how Dean's has grown from a local fund-raising activity to a global shortbread brand.

Whether you want a snack, home-bake or a hot meal, a great menu of hot and cold food and drinks await you in our fully licensed Café/Bistro. Relax with your choice in either the spacious downstairs eating area or gallery with comfortable sofas and coffee tables.
Choose from a wide range of gifts in our Gift Shop. As well as our full range of Shortbread, from handy snack packs to our luxury presentation tins, we have a full selection of premium gifts and souvenirs. The selection includes china and ceramic ornaments, silver jewellery, quality foods and a host of cards and local interest items - many of them produced in the North East corner of Scotland. So whether you're looking for a souvenir of your visit or a special gift for a close friend you'll always find something to suit your taste at Dean's.

(Please note factory production mainly weekdays only)

Gallery and Shortbread Storyboards are upstairs and are accessible
