As Springtime makes a very welcome return to the frozen north, our running enthusiasts here at Dean’s are keeping up with their fitness schedules, helped in part by the recent warm weather we’ve been enjoying.  Last weeks balmy temperatures made it a pleasure (almost!) to put on the running shoes and get out there, although Saturday morning saw a return to more normal temperatures with even a few snow flurries here in the north east!  Who says Scottish weather is unpredictable…?

Despite the slightly chilly conditions, three of our team headed up to Glenlivet on Sunday to take part in their annual 10k road race.  Along with around 650 other brave souls, they gave it their best shot and completed the challenging run whilst helping to raise valuable funds for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

The Glenlivet route is reputed to be the most beautiful run in Scotland, and our team most definitely agree.  The spectacular scenery around one of the world’s most famous whisky distilleries provides a very pleasant distraction when pounding along the country roads, and that includes the inclines…..!

Despite tired legs, our three intrepid runners are all back at their desks this morning.  Well done Jennifer, Richard and Siobhan for a great effort. Here’s to the next run…….!
