You may recall some time ago we mentioned that our shortbread had never been tested at altitude…well now it has.
Thanks to Emma Dyce who took our shortbread to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro on her magnificent “Climb Kill for Kidz” fundraising effort. We are delighted that Emma completed the climb successfully and that Dean’s Shortbread appears to be just as tasty at altitude.
Hopefully other climbers will see the benefits in taking Dean’s on their travels and, if they do, we hope we will get some pictures of our products in more exotic locations!
Here is the letter that Emma kindly sent to Bill Dean, Managing Director at Dean’s.
Dear Mr Dean,
I would just like to say a massive thank you to Dean’s for donating a fabulous hamper as a raffle prize for my charity quiz in June in aid of Childreach International as part of my “Climb Kili for Kidz” challenge. The quiz raised £300. I began my climb of Mt Kilimanjaro at the end of August and I managed to get to the top! I have a photo for you which I have attached.
Apologies for the late reply as since I came back, I have been overloaded with university work and TA exercises.
Again a massive thank you to your company and I wish you all the best in the future.
Thanks again Emma, it is much appreciated.
