The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, Macmillan Cancer Support‘s biggest fundraising event, is this Friday 28th September – and at Dean’s, we want to feast our eyes on what you and your friends have been baking.

The idea of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is for friends, family and colleagues to get together and host a coffee morning to raise money for people affected by cancer.

And since its origins in 1991, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning has certainly done so; raising over £60 million in total for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Just last year, 51,000 people signed up to coffee mornings across the UK, raising a staggering £10 million.

If you are joining in The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this year, and are hosting an event at work or at home, we want you to share you tasty home bakes with us.

All you have to do is upload your Coffee Morning pictures to the Dean’s Facebook page, and you could win a delicious Dean’s hamper, crammed full with the tastiest Dean’s delights.

If you would prefer to upload your picture on Twitter, send the picture to @DeansShortbread and make sure you include the hashtag #coffeemorning.

If you want to be on Macmillan’s tweetmap, simply tweet #coffeemorning, as well as the first part of your postcode eg #AB54.

Do you need some inspiration to put together some recipes to keep you and your guests happy at your coffee morning? If so, check out the Dean’s RecipeBook on our Facebook page.

We have an array of delicious treats that would be the perfect accompaniment to your coffee morning, from our sumptuous Melting Chocolate Pudding, to our freshly baked Scones with Jam and Cream.

If you would rather bake your own recipe, please feel free to do so – we will be making our decision based purely on the home bake that looks the most appetising.

So… get baking, get snapping and get sending; it really is a piece of cake.

*The best picture will be decided by Dean’s staff. Judges’ decision is final. The winner of the Dean’s hamper will be announced on Monday 1st October via Facebook and Twitter.*
