We began as a fundraising activity in Helen Dean’s kitchen here in Huntly but over the last 37 years the business has grown and developed and we now export globally.

We’re extremely proud of our history and what we have achieved and are excited to now be able to share our key milestones and achievements with you as we launch our new Facebook timeline.  

2012 is another big year for Dean’s as, on the 5th May, we’ll be celebrating 20 years since moving to our Depot Road bakery. We’re really excited about this and we’ll be inviting you to join us for our weekend of celebration. Watch this space for more details over the next couple of weeks.

We are proud that even though the business has grown and developed over the years, our shortbread and biscuits are still made using traditional production methods and a slow baking process – just like you would at home. This results in our unique ‘melt in the mouth’ texture for which our shortbread and biscuits are famous.
