A record number of nominations have flooded in from across Scotland, with the public voting for their favourites to be crowned the best in the food industry.
The Crowne Plaza, Glasgow will once again play host to the third annual Food Awards Scotland, which will take place on Monday August 15.
We are delighted that Dean’s has been shortlisted in the Ambient Food Manufacturer of the Year category, and will find out if we’ve been crowned winners at the glamorous ceremony being held on Monday.
We have been baking our melt in the mouth shortbread & biscuits for over 40 years here in Huntly, Aberdeenshire. Our founder Helen Dean started the business in 1975 when she began baking her delicious shortbread to raise funds for the local pipe band where her husband Bill was Drum Major. We now employ 130 staff and export to 27 countries around the world
The glitzy event endeavours to show appreciation for those in the food industry who provide incredible food and service within their establishments or via their products; from restaurants and suppliers to the talented individuals who work for them. The Food Awards Scotland provide a platform to recognise the stars of the food industry, letting them know that their good work doesn’t go unnoticed.
The glamorous night promises to be the biggest in the food calendar, with a range of awards up for grabs, ranging from the Best Street Food to the much sought after Restaurant of the Year.
