Dean’s sales team are heading off to London this weekend for their first appearance at the Allergy + Free From Show, which runs from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th July at Olympia. Showcasing all things ‘free from’ the Allergy + Free From Show is THE show which targets the millions of people living with allergies, with exhibitors promoting a range of products from food and drink, to cosmetics, skin and lifestyle products, allergy and hayfever solutions, and much, much more.
Following the launch of their gluten free shortbread range earlier this year, Dean’s are looking forward to a busy three days promoting their new products. Dean’s brand manager Siobhan Ingram commented ‘’It’s always a worthwhile experience attending consumer shows, with the opportunity to meet our customers face to face and get direct feedback about our products. We’re excited to hear what consumers think of our gluten free shortbread, and we’re also looking forward to seeing what else is new in the world of ‘free from’ and in particular, gluten free products’’
One in 100 people in the UK has coeliac disease, an autoimmune disease caused by a reaction to gluten with an estimated half a million people currently undiagnosed. Sarah Sleet, Chief Executive of Coeliac UK, the national charity for people with coeliac disease, said: “Being able to purchase new gluten-free products is a top priority for people with coeliac disease, who must follow a strict gluten-free diet for life. It’s fantastic that an established brand such as Dean’s is now able to offer their core product to people with coeliac disease in their new range of shortbread certified gluten-free by Coeliac UK enabling them to use the Crossed Grain symbol on packaging.”
Over 35,000 visitors are expected to attend the show which is open 10am until 5pm daily. You’ll find Dean’s on stand A467.
