Dean’s are travelling to Singapore this weekend to prepare for the very first Speciality & Fine Food Asia exhibition, which will run from 18 – 20 July 2017 at Suntec, Singapore.
Dean’s famous light and crumbly, melt in the mouth shortbread will be tempting visitors at the show, and introducing them to traditional Scottish shortbread at it’s very best. Helen Dean started her business in the 1970’s when she began baking her delicious shortbread in her Huntly kitchen to raise funds for the local pipe band where her husband Bill was Drum Major. Dean’s is still a family owned business, baking its shortbread to Helen’s original recipe.
Commercial director Scott Kelman who will be attending the show commented ‘’We are very much looking forward to exhibiting at Speciality & Fine Food Asia, and will be promoting a range of Dean’s products including our gluten free shortbread, Tomatin® whisky fruit cake and our newly extended range of Christmas shortbread gift tubes. It’s a great opportunity for us to bring the Dean’s story to the Asian market, and indeed to connect with buyers from all over the world ’’
Speciality and artisan food and beverage producers have been promoting their exceptional products at Speciality & Fine Food Fair London for over 16 years. Now in 2017, the show will take place in Asia. Buyers from all over the world will visit this exhibition at the stunning Suntec Singapore in search of the latest gourmet food and beverage launches.
On the eve of the exhibition, UK exhibitors are invited to a showcase and networking reception at Eden Hall, the residence of the British High Commissioner for Singapore, Scott Wightman. Guests at the reception will enjoy some of the UK’s finest food and beverages as well as the opportunity to meet with other exhibitors. The event is being held as part of the Department for International Trade in Singapore’s ‘Food is GREAT’ campaign which aims to support new UK exporters to Singapore.
