If you’re going to today’s Piping Hot Forres (European Pipe Band Championships) at Grant Park in Forres, keep your eyes peeled, as we will be unveiling our brand-new Dean’s shortbread finger mascot!

Resplendent in full Highland dress, in order to reflect our historical link to Huntly Pipe Band, our friendly new mascot will be introducing himself to thousands of families, over 120 pipe bands and almost 4000 pipers and drummers.

He will also be selling our famous melt-in-the-mouth shortbread and biscuits at our eye-catching stand, which will be located in the main park area.

Dean’s Managing Director, Bill Dean, said: ‘We’re very pleased to be introducing our fun new mascot
at Piping Hot Forres.

‘Although this is the first outing for our latest addition to the team, we very much hope that our loyal fans will love the fun element, and will look forward to meeting up again at future shows and exhibitions.’

The excitement doesn’t stop there though – since our mascot hasn’t been given a name yet, we’re launching a competition today on our Facebook page to invite our fans to come up with a suitable name.

All you have to do to enter the competition is click here, and the person who comes up with the best suggestion will win a great big box of Dean’s goodies complete with a Dean’s teapot & mugs!

The competition will run on our Facebook page until Monday 8th July when the lucky winner will be announced.

*Terms and Conditions

  • The competition will close at 11.59pm on Monday 8th July.
  • The winner will be chosen on Tuesday 9th July and notified by email.
  • The winner will be chosen by Dean’s management team.
  • The management’s decision is final.
  • We will NOT share your data with any other party.

Good luck everyone!
