Last week Les McArthur posted details of the Dean’s Activ8 team entry for the Marie Curie’s Glen Coe Mountain Challenge 2011 and this week we find that Dean’s Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator, Sylvia Grant (pictured left) is doing her bit for charity in Dublin this weekend.  Sylvia is competing in the Spar Great Ireland Run over a 10K course at Phoenix Park in Dublin.

Sylvia is also raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care and we wish her every success over the weekend as she travels to, and competes in Ireland.

We can also now bring you the missing names from the Dean’s Activ8 Team competing in the Marie Curie Glen Coe Mountain Challenge, they are as follows:

Heather Thompson, Norman Donald, Siobhan Ingram, Elaine Grant, Jennifer Landale, Amanda Gray and Arnoldas Ramasauskas.  We will post pictures of the whole team as soon as they have received their Marie Curie shirts and start their training.

There are two people on the team who have a little experience behind them, Jennifer has bagged around 12 munros but hasn’t done much serious walking in the last few years, very impressive none the less!  Elaine also did a lot of hill walking before having her family. The rest are genuine novices but what we lack in experience we make up for in enthusiasm!

If you have been involved in similar challenges in the past, the team would value any advice or support you can offer so, please feel free to leave any comments here or, on the Dean’s Facebook Page.
If you would like to show your support for the commitment being shown by the Dean’s Activ8 Team please make a donation using the button below, no amount is too small (or too big!).   We will provide regular updates on how our training is progressing, fund raising totals, sponsorship received and any other relevant information we have.

Thanks for taking the time to read our blog, for and on behalf of Dean’s Activ8.

Finally, if you know anyone who might be interested in Dean’s please use the Facebook, Twitter and Share buttons below to tell them about us.
