Time does indeed fly, and we can hardly believe we’re now only a couple of days away from Huntly’s very own Room to Run event which takes place this Saturday 2nd September.

Once again Dean’s are delighted to be the principle partner for this great event and a number of our own team are looking forward to taking part again, along with Shortie of course, who’ll be offering encouragement to all the runners as well as supervising the children’s race.

Over 800 runners will descend upon Huntly this Saturday, with 350 taking part in the 10k, 280 in the 5k and around 180 children running the ‘Wee Shortie’. We’re all hoping for a lovely day (but not too hot!) so that all the runners can enjoy the beautiful scenery as they head out of town and up to the Bin forest.

Dean’s are delighted to be supporting the third annual Room to Run event, which promotes sports, health and wellbeing, with other sponsors including Pipeline Technique, J&J Smith and Fred Watt Jewellers. Taking part in the 10k from Dean’s will be Joanne Innes, Richard McKay, Siobhan Ingram, Snieguole Rimkune, Ausrine Malkeviciute and Toma Becelyte.

As well as the running event, the annual Huntly Hairst also takes place on the same day, with the focus on the farmer’s market in the town square. There’s also a dog show and car boot sale at the Market Muir, in other words something for everyone.
We look forward to seeing you there !
