We are delighted to announce our partnership with world famous whisky brand, Tomatin, to create our new Tomatin Single Malt Whisky Fruit Cake.
The two Scottish companies currently export to almost 80 countries across the globe, and work with multiple UK supermarkets and independent retailers including Tesco, Asda, Johnstons of Elgin and Robertsons of Pitlochry. The new and exciting partnership will introduce a delicious rich fruitcake to appeal to customers of both the established brands.
Baked from the Dean’s factory in Huntly, the fruit cake, steeped in Tomatin Legacy Single Malt Scotch Whisky, and presented in a unique whisky cask style tin, has previously been unveiled at the international trade fair, ISM Cologne in Germany. However, after maturing for over a month, the cake is now available in store at Dean’s and Tomatin, as well as online.
With over 40 years of handcrafted baking experience, we are delighted to be introducing the Dean’s brand into other sectors. First started by Helen Dean, who originally baked her melt in the mouth shortbread in her Huntly kitchen to raise funds for the local pipe band, Dean’s has since grown to become an award-winning household name across Scotland, and internationally.
Similarly, Tomatin Distillery is a company steeped in tradition, making whisky in Inverness-shire since 1897. The unique community based distillery with 80% of staff living on-site, has seen generations of families live and work in a beautiful quiet corner of the Highlands.
Bill Dean, Managing Director at Dean’s commented, “At Dean’s we are always pleased and very excited to be offering new products to our customers. I’m delighted to be able to take our first steps into another new product with the release of the fruit cake.”
Stephen Bremner, Sales Director at Tomatin, added, “With both our brands dedicated to high quality products and traditional values, we are delighted to be working with Dean’s on this new product. The tasting combination is perfectly balanced with the smoothness of our whisky added to the rich and delicious taste of the new fruit cake.”
Bill continued, “We’re even more pleased to be launching the new cake with our partner Tomatin whose whisky we have admired for a long time. It’s a fantastic time to be working with other Scottish exporters, and we look forward to a continued relationship.”
We really are very proud of the fruit cake we have created and we would encourage you to give it a try, it is a truly mouthwatering experience, and it makes the perfect Scottish gift for your friends and family to enjoy. As already mentioned, you can buy the new fruit cake at Dean’s or Tomatin, however if you are further afield you can also take advantage of our online store and order your cake today by clicking here.
