Welcome to the Dean’s Blog and, to the very first of many posts. Many of you may have been to the Dean’s factory in Huntly and enjoyed the factory tour or, maybe a bite to eat in our Bistro. If so, you will recall the rich history of Dean’s and the people who work here; we generally find anyone who has been lucky enough to visit us quickly forms a bond with the brand and the blog is here to enable you to keep in touch with us and, for us to keep in touch with you.
Since the very early days back in 1975 when Helen Dean started to make shortbread from her home, we have encouraged people to be involved with the brand; in fact, Helen Dean started making shortbread to raise funds for the local Pipe Band. Now in the 21st century we still use the very same recipe that Helen used but our communication has moved on. Using various platforms on the web we hope to connect with people all over the World who have sampled our products and, our hospitality.
We will also be bringing you some recipe ideas, news about new products, introductions to the staff and some interesting facts about Dean’s of Hunty from the past and, hopefully some new stories as the develop in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to read our initial blog, we hope you will follow our progress here in the future. If you have found this interesting or, if you know someone who has a connection to Dean’s or to Huntly, please let them know where they can connect and engage with us.
