Empire Biscuits

These easy Empire Biscuits are a delicious treat that take only minutes to make. Our all butter shortbread, fruity jam and sweet icing is the perfect, yet simple, combination.

Follow the steps

1 x pack Dean’s All Butter Shortbread Rounds 150g

Strawberry or Raspberry Jam

60g Icing Sugar

Warm Water

Jelly Sweeties or Glace Cherries Halved to Decorate

Follow The Steps

Turn three shortbread rounds upside down and spread a layer of jam over each of them. Then sandwich the other three shortbread rounds, flat side down, to these.

Mix the icing sugar with a small amount of warm water, to make a thick icing. Use more or less water as required.

Gently spoon the icing over the top of the shortbread. Top with a jelly sweetie or glace cherry and leave to set for at least 1 hour.
